Different Bikes is now a supporter of the Hollyburn Jackrabbits Cross Country Ski Club
As a part of adding XC Ski products to our West Vancouver location in 2007, we went looking for ways to support the sport in our community, ideally in a way that encourages involvement by children and youth. The Hollyburn Jackrabbits were a natural choice.
This very successful club is based in Vancouver and is a non-profit organization run by a volunteers with qualified volunteer coaches. The 500 member club follows the Cross Country Canada endorsed Jackrabbit program to introduce children to cross country skiing, fitness and winter fun.
The club sells out membership places every year and currently has over 290 young skiers, aged 4 to 14 years, instructed by more than 70 volunteer coaches in the Jackrabbit, Racing Rabbit and Teen programs. The club skis at the Hollyburn Ridge cross country area of Cypress Mountain, in West Vancouver.
Different Bikes is the closest XC ski retailer to Cypress Mountain and looks forward to supporting the club’s efforts in the following ways:
- prize package donations for fundraisers and key competitions
- significant product discounts for club members and their families
- cash donation to assist club activities
